CASE:
Opposition is responsible for challenging policies of government where needed. On the other side, media is playing a significant role in strengthening democracy through dissemination of information to general public. It is unjustified that if along with media, opposition and political parties we did not mention the importance of civil society (non-governmental organizations) in strengthening of democracy.
Assignment Questions:
Being a student of public administration explain what civil society can do to develop, strengthen, and deepen democracy? Give four logical points in this regard.
Answer:
Civil society plays an important role in the implementation of democracy. They were protest ,fight and running campaigns for providing basic democratic rights to common people and minorities of the society .
- Their first ever concern is on the implementation of democracy and providing basic democratic values and rights to every citizen. That they can protest and running campaigns in any harm condition.
- They fight fore the independence of media , judiciary and different civil institution to provide their fruits to citizen.
- Civil society work under the law and approve their demands through peace-full protest and campaigns .to make it pure democratic.
- They were peace-fully fight against the dictatorship and facing hardships like jails, in dictator tenure.
