Objective:

The assignment has been designed to enhance your knowledge about discipline of design and design processes.

Question No.1:

Consider the paper marking system of a university XYZ. The marking procedure proceeds as follows:

Teacher downloads all the papers at a time in bulk. He/she then opens each paper, marks all the questions one-by-one, sums up the total marks and finally enters the marks in the list.You are required to draw a UML activity diagram for above scenario considering the following guidelines:

Activity diagram should show all the inputs/outputs

Proper notations should be used

There should be no deadlock

Question No.2:

Consider the following UML activity diagram. The diagram shows execution of two activities i.e. “Execute Thread-1” and “Execute Thread-2” in parallel. Redraw the above diagram by showing this parallelism using Joins/forks notation.
