IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTION
Assignment Objective:
Upon completion of this assignment, students will be able:
To understand about different social problems in Pakistani Society, how different Sociological Perspectives explain these problems, different solutions to these problems.
To develop an understanding about the concepts of Social Interaction like status, role set and social construction of reality.
Background:
One cannot understand about the society without understanding the issues and problems faced by that society. Sociological Paradigms provide us with a systematic view point for understanding the social problems. The Sociological Paradigms also help us identify why the problems exist in and affect the society. There are three Paradigms namely: Structural-Functional Paradigm, The Social-Conflict Paradigm and The Symbolic-Interaction Paradigm. All these paradigms explain about society from distinct perspective. Once we understand these perspectives; we can also suggest solutions to the social problems.
NOTE:
Only in the case of Assignment, 24 hours extra / grace period after the due date is usually available to overcome uploading difficulties which may be faced by the students on last date. This extra time should only be used to meet the emergencies and above mentioned due dates should always be treated as final to avoid any inconvenience.
Deadline:
Make sure that you upload the solution file before the due date. No assignment will be accepted through e-mail once the solution has been uploaded by the instructor.
Formatting guidelines:
- Use the font style “Times New Roman”/ “Arial” and font size “12”.
- It is advised to compose your document in MS-Word.

- Explanation in the light of a suitable Sociological Perspective: 5 Marks
- Solutions for the Problem: 1*5= 5 Marks
- (2+5+5 = 12 Marks)
