Dear Students, Now You can apply for Virtual University Need Base Schoolarship. You are informed that need based scholarship for Fall 2017 has been opened for deserving students. If you are a deserving student and you are eligible to apply for need based scholarship, please apply at your earliest. HOW TO APPLY FOR VU NEED BASE SCHOLARSHIP

VU NEED BASE SCHOLARSHIP IMPORTANT NOTE

• Amount and number of scholarships are subject to availability of funds.
• The decisions of the Management Committee will be deemed to be final.
• These rules may be added to or modified as required from time to time.

RULES:

1. Scholarships shall comprise partial or full remission of the applicable tuition fee only; students shall have to pay all other dues.
2. Students (Newly Admitted) who have obtained at least 60% marks OR minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 OR minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 5.0 (as applicable) on which the admission was granted shall be eligible for the award of a Need Based scholarship.
3. Students (Continuing) who are availing Need Based scholarships must achieve a minimum semester GPA of 2.25 while maintaining a CGPA of at least 2.50, failing which the scholarship shall stand withdrawn.
4. Scholarships may be awarded only to students who:
5. i. follow the defined scheme of studies of the applicable program without a break  in their studies;
6. ii. are not in receipt of any other scholarship / financial assistance; and
7. iii. have not changed their study or degree program during the course of their studies.
8. The scholarship shall be terminated if the student withdraws from the University or is found guilty of cheating or using unfair means in academic activities.
9. In order to reamin eligible for the scholarships, continuing students must not have any repeat/fail courses.

The scholarship shall stand suspended if the student freezes his/her studies provided that the request for semester freeze was submitted within four weeks of the commencement of the semester. Studies discontinued after the first four weeks of the semester shall result in termination of the scholarship.

PROCEDURES:

1. In order to apply for need based scholarship, follow the steps below:                   
2. From within the LMS, click the Student Services button.
3. Click on the Apply for Need Based Scholarship link.
4. Fill the application form and submit the application.
5. The university will verify all the contents given by the students.
6. During verification, students might be asked to provide evidences of certain contents provided by the students in the application.
7. After verification of the contents, separate lists will be prepared for Newly Admitted students as well as for continuing student.
8. In case of any tie in the determination of merit, the marks/CGPA obtained by the students in the examination preceding the one on which the merit list was created, shall be considered; any remaining tie will be resolved on the basis of dates of birth, with the youngest being given precedence.
9. Merit lists will be presented to Management Committee which will decide the number of students and amount of scholarship to each student.

Please note that scholarship shall be valid for the one semester only.
